MTS says offers SIM cards via messenger Telegram
MOSCOW, Nov 22 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator MTS has started selling SIM cards via messenger Telegram, the operator said on Wednesday in a statement.
“For us as a technological company, it is important to provide the clients with the most advanced ways of receipt of products and services. Telegram’s Russian audience exceeds 50 million people, most of them spend several hours a day in the messenger,” Inessa Galaktionova, first vice president of telecom business at MTS, said.
“For the users, it is a clear and familiar means of communication with brands, and it is possible now to order a SIM card and an ecosystem subscription straight in the messenger.”
A SIM card can be purchased via a Telegram bot – the client picks the tariff, address and delivery time. The documents are signed after receipt of the card from the company’s employee.
